Job summary

IKEA Burlington is seeking a Sales Co-worker II to help customers with home furnishing needs, answer questions, and serve as an ambassador of the customer experience. You will assist shoppers around the store, keep shelves stocked and clearly labeled, identify needs by asking questions, stay informed on promotions, delivery options and product benefits, and support the team in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a starting wage of CAD 19.28 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package as

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service excellence: assess needs and present solutions to customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to strike up conversations easily.
• Passion for IKEA products, design, and sustainability commitments.
• Approximately 6 months of experience in high-volume sales or customer service.
• Comfort with lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs in a physically demanding setting.

Responsibilities

• Be an IKEA Ambassador by enhancing the customer experience and assisting with home furnishing needs.
• Help customers navigate the store so they can find what they need.
• Keep areas stocked, shelves labeled clearly, and ensure products are presented well.
• Identify customer needs by asking questions and recommend suitable home solutions.
• Stay informed about in-store promotions, delivery options, and product features/benefits.
• Support the team with additional duties as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• You have amazing attention for details and can effortlessly juggle multiple competing priorities while keeping a smile on your face.
• Your customer service skills are top notch – you can assess a customer’s needs quickly and sell them a solution, providing all sorts of support to aid them in their buying decision.
• You are a total people-person and can strike up a conversation easily.
• You have an obvious passion for IKEA products and design, as well as our Sustainability commitment.
• You have about 6-month work experience in a high-volume sales or customer service environment.
• You are totally cool with working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, environment (where you may have to lift heavy items that weigh up to 50 lbs. at any given time).

• Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact the customer experience by offering home furnishing solutions and answering questions relates to customers home furnishing needs.
• Generally, help our customers find their way around the store, so they can get what they need.
• Responsible for ensuring recovered product is put away properly, that your area is stocked and presentable visually, and that all shelf labels are clear and accurate.
• Identify customer needs by asking insightful questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Stay current and knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.
• Support your team with additional duties, as required.

The starting rate/ salary for this position is 19.28 CAD
