Job summary

Simons is seeking a Sales Audit Clerk to safeguard the accuracy of the sales-to-cash cycle for its stores and web platform. The role reports to Finance and requires meticulous data analysis and cross‑functional coordination in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will reconcile daily sales data, verify transactions, and support monthly and annual closings, ensuring tax compliance and data integrity across systems and sources.

Qualifications

• CEGEP-level training in accounting or experience in sales audit.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enjoy researching discrepancies to resolve them.
• Ability to manage multiple files and priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of sales and cash receipts from stores and online sales.
• Verify data integrity for sales, deposits, gift cards and payment methods.
• Identify and analyze discrepancies between data sources and research causes.
• Follow up with stores and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Make corrections, adjustments, data entry and related transactions.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing activities related to sales audit.
• Ensure proper application of sales taxes per rules.
• Prepare, update and maintain audit documentation.
• Support Finance with ad-hoc analyses.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements.
