Job summary

Staples in Terrebonne, Canada is seeking an associate to deliver outstanding customer service and engage shoppers across furniture, technology and office supplies. You will help customers find products, answer questions, and work with store leaders to set and achieve sales and margin goals.

You will handle POS transactions, assist with shipping, maintain a clean and safe store, and support merchandising standards such as planograms and stocking.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and enhance customer engagement.
• Drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store.
• Set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders.
• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support all merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.
• Engage with customers and offer tailored products and services to meet needs.
• Handle transactions using the POS system and shipping tools to convert customers.
• De-escalate and assist in complex customer situations or refer to a manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment and ensure demo units are functional.
