Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a motivated Retail Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and promote sales across furniture, technology and supplies. The role emphasizes engaging customers, operating the POS system, and ensuring a clean, safe store environment.

You will work with store leadership to meet sales and margin goals, uphold signage standards, and participate in merchandising activities while maintaining health, safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience is preferred (3 months to 1 year).
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
