Job summary

Stephenson's Rental Services in Canada is seeking a motivated Sales and Rental Associate to assist customers with product knowledge, sales, and issue resolution.

You will transfer product knowledge, uncover needs, promote accessories, and ensure accurate inventory and smooth rental delivery and pickup processes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in customer service and/or direct customer sales.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid G Class Driver’s License with clean abstract.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Technical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and convert to sales by transferring product knowledge to customers.
• Probe for needs and match customer needs with Stephenson’s rental products and solutions.
• Seek sales opportunities on a consistent basis.
• Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.
• Drive in-store merchandising initiatives including pricing, inventory control, and product placement.
• Follow procedures related to delivery and pick-up of products.
• Maintain inventory control documents for the Rental Management system.
• Assist in fleet management to meet customer demand.
• Monitor disputes, monthly billing, over-due accounts, invoicing with the Manager.
• Complete daily duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with yard team to stage rentals and verify return inventories.
• Manage branch email inbox.

TheSales and Rental Associate is all about helping customers – whether that’s selling products, taking orders, or resolving issues. It’s important to really listen, respond quickly, and show you care. We want every customer to have a good experience so we do our best to understand what they need and make sure they feel looked after. Responsibilities include:

• Provide customer service and convert to sales by transferring product knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques, and promoting related accessories/products.
• Probe for needs and match customer needs with Stephenson’s rental products and solutions.
• Seek sales opportunities on a consistent basis.
• Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.
• Drive in-store merchandising initiatives. This includes pricing, inventory control, product placement, etc.
• Follow all procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products for customers.
• Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
• Assist in fleet management to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs.
• With the Manager, monitor disputes, monthly billing, over-due accounts, invoicing, etc.
• Participate in and ensure daily duties and responsibilities are complete.
• Work with the yard team to ensure rentals are correctly staged and that return equipment inventories are correct.
• Manage branch email inbox.

• Other duties as assigned.
