What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Agro Manager, the Sales Agronomist provides expert advice and strategic agricultural insight to develop ongoing profitable relationships with local producers. The Sales Agronomist is knowledgeable in crop inputs, fertilizer, and farm equipment. This position will focus on customer relations while supporting the overall growth, sales, and profitability of the site. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Customer contact to generate leads and create sales
  • Understand local producer needs and offer company product and services to optimize agricultural output
  • Promote high level customer satisfaction and develop relationships through trust, service, and integrity
  • Responsible for managing and tracking inventory and bookings, completing claims and invoices
  • Provide on-site farm support and delivery of Co-op products

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:

  • You have a degree or diploma in agriculture with eligibility for registration with SIA
  • You have a background in agriculture with 3 - 6 years sales-based role
  • You have experience leading customer contact with a proven record in relationship development
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • Must be willing to travel to various Ag locations throughout Prairie North
