About the Opportunity

As a Corporate Agronomist at Bourgault, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our team, dealer network, and customer base stay informed with the latest agronomic insights related to crop production. Your expertise will be vital in empowering our dealers and customers with the knowledge and insights they need to succeed in a constantly evolving agricultural industry!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging presentations and conduct training sessions to educate dealers, customers and other stakeholders on current agronomic practices and crop production techniques.
  • Create and distribute detailed agronomic documents to promote industry education and awareness.
  • Represent Bourgault at field days, agricultural conferences, trade shows, and professional development events, fostering valuable networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to provide agronomic input for new product development and assist with prototype testing in the field.
  • Lead in-depth agronomic field research, including field scale trials at Bourgault's research farm in St. Brieux as well as demonstrations across various North American locations.
  • Assist in the management, planning & operation of the Bourgault research farm.
  • Address agronomy-related customer issues, providing expert solutions and insights to resolve concerns effectively.
About You

To qualify, you must have exceptional public relations skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Your passion for agronomy, combined with a drive for innovation in the agricultural industry, will be key to your success in this role!

  • A degree in Agriculture, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in agronomy.
  • Membership with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA).
  • Excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Bourgault equipment and the role it plays in modern farming practices for all major crops.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed, self-motivated environment.
  • Expertise in conducting, analyzing and documenting agronomic research to high standards.
  • A broad understanding of modern farming practices, including customer needs and expectations.
  • Practical experience in broad acre grain farming.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license is an asset.
