This position is located in Montreal, QB.

What’s the role?

As a Sales Agent, you will work with an exceptional team vital to Medical Device Equipment Sales. You will generate new business sales and profits in your territory, commit to an annual sales plan, and forecast orders and revenue monthly. You must develop excellent product knowledge, stay aware of market conditions, and report weekly on your activities. Represent the company with high standards of ethics and professionalism, and communicate market trends or competitive activities to management.

Responsibilities :

  • Achieve or surpass yearly revenue and profit quotas (P&L).
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to post-sale support.
  • Conduct scheduled personalized sales demonstrations in your region.
  • Complete product installation and training.
  • Make cold calls to potential clients to generate new business.
  • Analyze and utilize territory records to plan and measure results.
  • Educate and follow up with Optometrists and staff on product operation and application.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to management.
  • Assist in market launches of new products.
  • Develop synergy opportunities with team members and partners.
  • Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately.
  • Support local sales administration with customer orders and deliveries.
  • Maintain compliance with company and ISO 9001 processes and procedures.
  • Follow provincial and federal employment laws.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field (health, biology, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology / Optometry is an asset.
  • Proactive, results-driven, with a hunter mindset.
  • High technical / clinical product knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluent in French (speaking and writing).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills.
  • Product application and practice management expertise.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (50%+ time).

Working Conditions and Demands :

  • Extensive travel within Canada and internationally.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Weekend work and frequent travel may be required.
  • Potential relocation depending on company needs.
