Job summary

TransX Ltd in Canada is seeking a Sales Account Manager to manage and grow strategic customer accounts, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional service. You will build strong relationships with clients, identify opportunities, and work with internal teams to meet needs and exceed targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with CRM systems. Travel to client sites and industry events is expected, with competitive compensation and growth

The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Account Manager to join the Sales & Marketing department. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing key customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, identifying business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs and exceed sales targets.

The primary objective of this role is to drive sales, identify new business opportunities, expand market presence, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Conduct regular customer meetings and presentations, and assist internal teams with account-specific issues such as invoicing, claims, and service.
  • Sales Development & Strategy: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling potential clients. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and contribute to growth. Prepare and present pricing proposals, manage contract negotiations, and submit regular sales reports and revenue forecasts to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Engagement: Work closely with Marketing to develop promotional materials, campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth order execution and timely service delivery. Provide feedback and market trend insights to internal teams.
  • Market Analysis & Networking: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness. Travel as needed to localized provinces and states for meetings, presentations, and prospecting.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Additional sales training or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in a B2B environment. Industry knowledge in transportation and market trend is a plus.
  • Technical & Functional Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and adjust strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and prioritize effectively in a collaborative team setting.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel to localized provinces and states for business development.
