Job summary

ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd. is seeking a Salad & Sandwich Maker for our Camp Services team in Jansen, SK. You will prepare nutritious sandwiches and salads for residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role includes on-site meals, accommodations, and a 14‑day on/7‑day off rotation. Responsibilities include high-volume sandwich production, salad bar prep, proper storage, and safe equipment use.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid food safety certificate.
• 1 year of experience as Sandwich/Salad Maker in hotel/restaurant industry.
• Excellent people skills.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Works well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salad bar items and basic foods in appropriate portions.
• Create made-to-order salads and high-volume sandwich production.
• Maintain stock levels and minimize leftovers and waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (meat slicer, knives).
• Ensure daily prep, storage, rotation, and serving of salads/sandwiches.

Atco Structures & Logistics Ltd. is seeking a Salad & Sandwich Maker to join our Camp Services team in Jansen, SK. You will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious sandwiches and salads for our residents while maintaining a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.

Where We Work and Live

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK.

Our positions work on a 14 day on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of salad bar items, including the preparation of basic foods and portioning
• Creativity with salad and sandwich making including made to order specialty sandwiches.
• Able to work efficiently by making HIGH volumes of salad and sandwich products
• Oversees stocking of all food serving areas, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste.
• Operating all equipment safely such as meat slicer and knife handling.
• Maintaining the daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of all sandwiches/salads required to meet the kitchendemands
• Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specifications in quantities sufficient for the day’s count.
• Assist anywhere else in the kitchen during production as needed.
• Acts in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
• Other duties as assigned
