Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced SAGD Project Manager to oversee a site construction contract in Alberta. The role requires coordinating with the Client, managing the Construction Manager and staff, and delivering on schedule, budget, and safety commitments.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years in industrial construction, SAGD/oil sands project experience, and relevant safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in industrial construction, involving civil, structural, mechanical/piping, or electrical scopes.
• Demonstrated experience managing SAGD, oil sands or gas plant site construction contracts under time and material and lump-sum terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SAGD site construction contracts, ensuring schedule, cost, risk, and quality controls are in place.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, budgets, and procurement strategies; administer contract terms and invoicing.
• Coordinate staffing, RASCI-defined roles, and subcontractor management; oversee procurement, expediting, and material delivery.
• Publish and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules; manage risk register and safety plans.
• Lead project meetings, issue resolutions, and change management processes; review RFIs and reporting.
• Review and approve invoices, including inter-company and third-party invoices; ensure accuracy and delegation compliance.
• Oversee quality assurance and conduct audits; manage project close-out and lessons learned.
