Job summary

Erosion Control Central in Calgary is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety programs and coordinate HRM activities on our growing Western Canada operations. The role emphasizes on-site safety leadership for earthworks and construction, with a preference for an NCSO or equivalent, and a proactive, collaborative approach to keep teams safe, compliant and motivated in a dynamic environment.

You will partner with project leads, site supervisors and field crews to implement procedures,

Qualifications

  • Experience in Civil construction and earthworks.
  • Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where project responsibilities work well together.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation.
  • Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them.
  • Valid class 5 Drivers license with a clean abstract.

Responsibilities

  • A passionate professional advocate for both safety and people, with experience in Human Resource Management and Safety Coordination.
  • Ideally, holds a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification or equivalent.
  • Someone that has experience with heavy equipment/earth works and working in Construction.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
  • Someone who knows that a little fun goes a long way in keeping spirits high and morale soaring!
