Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. Slave Lake Pulp Division is seeking a safety-focused Utility/Clean-up Operator on a 3-month contract basis in Slave Lake, Alberta.

The role emphasizes safe operation, housekeeping, and cross-department support within a high-tech pulp mill environment. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs., performing repetitive tasks, operating pressure-washing equipment, and working safely in both hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping standards and communicate operational issues.
• Support mill operations and work with Control Room Operator and Shift Supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and assist other departments as needed.
