A leading company in the utility sector seeks a Safety Advisor for their Calgary or Edmonton team. This role focuses on field leadership to uphold Valard's safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety mandates and actively participating in safety-related procedures. The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in a related field, relevant certifications, and a minimum of three years’ experience in safety roles.
Our Health, Safety & Environment group strives to “Deliver a unified and proactive service which includes leadership, guidance and mentoring to create a world class safety culture”, and is looking to add a Safety Advisor to the team, based in Calgary or Edmonton, AB.
Reporting to the Regional Supervisor, the Health and Safety Advisor provides support to supervisor, foremen and workers in the field and provides leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of the assigned project. This position plays an important role in ensuring that Valard’s safety culture has been established and adhered to in the field.
Please Note: this is a field-based position with 75% of the time spent on site
