Job summary

Manitoba Health in Hamiota, MB is seeking a Family Physician to join Hamiota Health Centre. The physician will provide comprehensive family medical care, diagnose and treat illnesses, and act as the primary care provider while coordinating with colleagues in a rural setting.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
• Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
• Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

• Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
• Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
• Good work and attendance record

Responsibilities

• Performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health
• Share in the Emergency Department on-call schedule and cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues
