Job summary

Sienna Shores Community in Gravenhurst, ON is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. You will provide nursing and personal care per resident plans, while collaborating with staff to maintain a welcoming environment and high-quality care for residents.

The role reports to the Director of Care and supports admissions, ongoing assessments, and family communications. A valid RPN license in Ontario is required and experience in geriatrics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Eligible to work in Canada or hold a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, orders and resident plan of care.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care with sound practice.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care with regular updates to residents and families and guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Handle admissions, readmissions and status changes with ongoing assessments.
