Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for Granite Ridge – Stittsville. This role supports residents with compassionate nursing care in a senior living community.

You must be an actively licensed RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses and have experience in geriatrics; eligibility to work in Canada is required. Sienna offers benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada or hold a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders, resident plan, and RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing practice.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care, including regular family communication and staff guidance.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Admissions, readmissions, status changes, and ongoing assessments.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents
  
  

Who You Are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
