Job summary

WRHN is advertising a Temporary Full Time Registered Practical Nurse in the Emergency Department at WRHN Midtown, KW Campus.

You will assess the needs of adult and pediatric patients, work with a multidisciplinary team, and help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. This position requires current Ontario nursing registration and emergency care experience.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Medicine/Surgery experience required.
• Previous experience in Emergency is an asset.
• BCLS.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations by rapidly identifying priorities and complex patient care needs.
• Demonstrated assessment skills and the ability to function independently.
• Demonstrated teaching, communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
• Good attendance record.

Position: Temporary Full Time Registered Practical Nurse Until Approximately 6/14/2028

Position Summary: Functioning interdependently with members of the multidisciplinary team, assesses the needs of adult and pediatric patients requiring care in the Emergency Department. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
