Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide planned, patient-oriented care to residents in our senior living communities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services and document care accordingly.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge.
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred.
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/long term care an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned, patient-oriented nursing care in accordance with provincial standards.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and maintain open communication with residents, families and teams.
• Develop and evaluate care plans, documenting changes as required.
• Teach, delegate and mentor unregulated care providers.
