UniFirst Canada is seeking an entry-level Route Service Supervisor to lead a team delivering top-tier service to a diverse client base across Alberta. You will train reps, cover routes when needed, and ensure customer needs are met with professionalism.

Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership, strong customer service, and comfort with new technologies, plus the stamina to manage physical tasks and schedules in a daytime Monday–Friday role.

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or CAEC is required.
• Strong customer service skills with independence and teamwork.
• Hands-on leadership focused on supporting the team and customer.
• Team development and coaching within a Route Service team.
• Prior leadership, customer service, route sales or delivery preferred.
• Tech-savvy and able to learn new technologies for efficiency.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet.

As a Route Service Supervisor you’ll lead and work alongside a team of Route Service Representatives who service a diverse portfolio of customers each day, from small family-owned businesses to large corporate locations. This is an entry-level supervisor opportunity designed for career-minded individuals eager to grow, develop leadership skills, and advance within a stable, customer-focused organization.

What Your Role Entails:

• Oversee the training and development of a team of Route Service Representatives
• Provide route coverage during Route Service Representative absences (e.g., illness or vacation), offering hands-on support while assessing performance and customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Respond to customer service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Negotiate customer contract renewals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and team members
• Collaborate closely with leadership and management to deliver best-in-class customer service and product programs

Qualifications

What You Bring to UniFirst

• Driver’s License & Safe Driving Record: Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Must meet all Ministry of Transportation requirements.
• Educational Requirements: High school diploma or CAEC is required.
• Strong Customer Service Skills: Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset and providing excellent customer service.
• Results-Driven Leadership Mindset: A hands-on, relationship-focused supervisor who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to support the team and, most importantly, the customer.
• Team Development & Coaching: Enjoys working closely with a team of Route Service Representatives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as they grow in their roles.
• Relevant Experience: Prior leadership, customer service, route sales, delivery, and/or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using and learning new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs., with the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
