Messer in Calgary is hiring a Driver to perform local gas product deliveries with a Class 3 or DZ license. You will load/unload cylinders, maintain load sheets, and use handheld devices to reconcile deliveries. You must meet safety rules, keep a clean driving record, and report hazards. Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience or 3 years driving experience with training.
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Clean driving abstract available upon request.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and handle cargo.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Multiple deliveries (loading/unloading of cylinders) to local customers within the area.
• Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records.
• Admin duties using handheld tech to process deliveries and reconcile inventory.
• Comply with government regulations.
• Maintain vehicles per policy and report safety hazards.

Whatyou’lldo:

As one of our Drivers,you’llbe drivinga well-maintainedvehicle while also professionallyrepresentingour organization to our customers.This position is for people motivatedtodriveheavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License)and provide excellent customer service.Your responsibilities will include:

• Multipledeliveries(requiring loading and unloading of cylinders)/ day (5- or 10-tontruck) of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area
• Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records
• Some administration dutiesincludethe use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances
• Comply withall government regulations
• Maintaining vehicles as per company vehicle policy,observingsafety requirements, andwearingsafety equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor

What it takes:

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or3years driving experience
• MinimumGrade 12 education or equivalentexperience
• A clean driving abstract (abstract to be readily available tosubmit, when asked)
• Ability to handle and lift goods up to60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Assets to have:

• Knowledge of the gas and/orwelding industry
• Experience usinghandheldelectronic devices
• WHMIS/TDG certification
