Job summary

Messer in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Driver to operate a well-maintained vehicle delivering gas products and hardgoods to local customers. You will balance cylinder load sheets, use handheld devices for deliveries, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a Class 3 or DZ license and 1 year driving experience, with a clean driving record and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. We offer a competitive wage with full benefits, uniform provided, and a regular day-shift schedule

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles per policy and report hazards.

Whatyou'lldo:

As one of our Drivers,you'llbe drivinga well-maintainedvehicle while also professionallyrepresentingour organization to our customers.This position is for people motivatedtodriveheavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License)and provide excellent customer service.Your responsibilities will include:

• Multipledeliveries(requiring loading and unloading of cylinders)/ day (5- or 10-tontruck) of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area
• Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records
• Some administration dutiesincludethe use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances
• Comply withall government regulations
• Maintaining vehicles as per company vehicle policy,observingsafety requirements, andwearingsafety equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor

What it takes:

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or3years driving experience
• MinimumGrade 12 education or equivalentexperience
• A clean driving abstract (abstract to be readily available tosubmit, when asked)
• Ability to handle and lift goods up to60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Assets to have:

• Knowledge of the gas and/orwelding industry
• Experience usinghandheldelectronic devices
• WHMIS/TDG certification
