Tacten Industrial Inc is seeking Rope Access JP Insulators for long-term maintenance work in Fort McMurray. This role involves installing insulation materials, measuring and cutting to fit, and ensuring proper installation in a dynamic industrial setting.

Ideal candidates are journeyman insulators with IRATA Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain it, local to Fort McMurray, and possessing CSTS/OSSA or OSSA certifications. 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 rotation are available.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Insulator status or equivalent hours required.
• IRATA Level 1 Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Local to Fort McMurray.
• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO.
• CSE/M (Confined Space Entry).
• ESC Fall Protection an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials (foam, fiberglass, mineral wool) to prevent heat transfer.
• Measure and cut insulation to fit designated areas.
• Secure insulation with fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for wear or damage.
• Replace or repair compromised insulation.
• Advise on improvements to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients/project managers to determine insulation needs.

• 7/7 rotation, 12-hour shifts
• Applicants must be local to Fort McMurray or willing to relocate (Local Living Incentive provided)

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
• Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
• Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
• Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
• Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
