Requirements include IRATA Level 3, First Aid, CSO/BSO/CSTS-2020, and a strong safety mindset. Local candidates or those willing to relocate will join a 7/7 rotation with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 3 certification required.
  • First Aid certification required.
  • CSO/BSO or CSTS-2020 certification required.
  • Journeyman ticket is an asset.
  • ESC or OSSA Confined Space Monitor/Entry is an asset.
  • Strong safety and quality awareness.
  • Self-motivated with ability to perform at high technical level.

Responsibilities

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of a Level III Rope Access Technician
  • Be conversant with relevant work techniques
  • Assist other technicians as required
  • Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
  • Ensure operational safety of all equipment

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking a Level 3 Rope Access Technician to support our client site in Fort McMurray, AB. You will play a crucial role in overseeing complex operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Position Information:

  • Start date: October 2026
  • 7/7 rotation, 12 hour shifts
  • Applicants must be local to Fort McMurray or willing to relocate (Local Living Incentive provided)
