Job summary

Delta Hotels Waterloo is seeking a seasoned hospitality leader to oversee operations in the rooms divisions (Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping). You will lead staff, drive guest satisfaction, and optimize department financial performance while ensuring compliance with brand standards and safety policies.

Education and experience: high school diploma or GED with 4 years in guest services or related areas; or a 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business with 2 years

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing the execution of operations in the rooms area departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping).
• Verifies goals are translated to the team with respect to guest tracking and productivity.
• Leads by example and fosters motivation, empowerment, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Publishes guest satisfaction results and develops plans to address gaps.
• Meets with staff to discuss goals, scheduling and performance; performs hourly duties as needed.
