Job summary

Coast Canmore Hotel and Conference Centre in Canmore, Alberta, is seeking a detail‑oriented housekeeping associate to maintain guest rooms and public spaces. You will refresh amenities, make beds, and ensure cleanliness to meet health and safety guidelines while supporting the housekeeping team.

The role requires reliable independent work, strong communication, and the ability to handle guest requests with professionalism. Training and a collaborative environment are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Refresh guest amenities, make beds, dust, vacuum, mop floors, shampoo carpets, wash walls and windows; handle guest requests and linen/glassware duties.
  • Complete 14 rooms per shift.
  • Support housekeeping team and scheduling to maintain operations.
  • Report maintenance issues in public areas immediately.
  • Return lost & found items to housekeeping office.
  • Participate in hotel recycling program and safety practices.
  • Be familiar with facilities, chemicals, and equipment used in housekeeping and laundry.
  • Attend ongoing training on equipment, tasks and duties.
  • Know Health & Safety, WHMIS, SDS & PPE requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
  • Follow proper procedures to protect hotel security.

Job description

We are a busy 164-room hotel and conference centre located in Canmore, Alberta.

Objective:
  • To be responsible for keeping hotelroomsand other guest spaces clean, sanitary, and attractive to ensure that guests enjoy their stay
  • To provide ultimate cleanliness to guest rooms and follow all health and safety guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Refreshing guest amenities, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls & windows, delivering guest request, delivering & picking up linen/glassware, emptying and disposing of elevator landings recycling & garbage, aiding laundry
  • Complete 14 room per shift
  • Support and assist housekeeping team in tasks, duties and scheduling required to maintain successful operational departments
  • Report maintenance problems in public area immediately to room checkers
  • Ensure lost & found items are returned to the housekeeping office
  • Support and participate our hotel’s recycling program
  • Be familiar with hotel facilities, housekeeping/laundry chemicals & equipment
  • Participate in on-going training with equipment, tasks, and duties
  • Be knowledgeable in Health & Safety, WHMIS, SDS & PPE
  • Ensure & provide safe & healthy environment for both guests & staff
  • Ensure hotel security is protected by following the proper procedures
