Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts in Canmore is hiring Room Checkers to clean, service and inspect guest rooms and assist in maintaining common areas and other departments when required.

This physically demanding role requires teamwork, strong communication and time management. A generous benefits package begins after 6 months of continuous full-time employment, plus on-site staff housing for full-time staff, subject to availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform full cleaning of guest rooms and common areas, including stripping linens, cleaning washrooms, restocking amenities.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms and common areas.
• Greet guests in a professional and polite manner.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns.
• Train new housekeepers.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping needs and equipment.
• Assist other hotel departments as required.

Banff: Tuesday, Sept 15th and Canmore: Tuesday, Sept 22nd

Room Checkers are responsible for cleaning, servicing and inspecting guest rooms. Room Checkers will also assist in maintaining common areas and other hotel departments when required.

Job Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must have the ability to move, lift, carry push and pull objects up to 25lbs. They must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting, ensure adherence to detail and standards, and they must have good communication and time management skills.

DUTIES The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform full cleaning of guest rooms and common areas including stripping linen, changing linens and towels, cleaning washrooms and common areas, removing garbage, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking room amenities.
• Inspect and maintain all guest rooms and common areas.
• Greet guests in a professional and polite manner.
• Identify and report all maintenance concerns.
• Train new housekeepers.
• Identify and report all maintenance concerns.
• Communicate with all departments to ensure fluidity of daily operations.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping needs and equipment.
• Assist other hotel departments as required.
