Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring rooms are fresh and sanitized for all guests, preparing each room for new arrivals according to hotel standards.

• Job Title: Room Attendant - Housekeeping
• Reports To: Executive Housekeeper

Starting wage is CA$20.23 during probation, increasing to CA$25.29 after probation, and further to CA$26.04 after 6 months.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hotel or related industry.
• Effective communication skills with guests, employees, and management.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Daily Tasks

• Clean and prepare rooms according to Hyatt standards, including:
• Removing rubbish and ashtrays.
• Making beds with fresh linen.
• Dusting furniture, lamps, shades, pictures, and doors.
• Vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets.
• Cleaning bathrooms thoroughly.
• Replacing guest supplies.
• Washing paintwork and doors as needed.
• Reporting room issues and malfunctions.
• Assisting guests with requests like taking out food trays and newspapers.
• Managing equipment and reporting hazards or suspicious persons.
• Handling lost and found items according to procedures.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by management.
