Job summary

The Comfort-Inn-By-Choice-Hotel seeks a Housekeeper/Rooms Attendant to maintain clean guest rooms in accordance with brand standards. Weekend availability is required to support busy periods and guest satisfaction.

You will dust, clean bathrooms, report damages, secure rooms, and assist with additional cleaning tasks as needed. This role emphasizes safety, hygiene, and customer service within the hotel environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dust all furniture (frames, beds, lamps, TVs, dressers) to maintain cleanliness.
• Thoroughly clean the bathroom area including shower, sink, floor, and toilet.
• Ensure brand standard room setup is complied with.
• Report any damage found in a room immediately.
• Report missing items and guest belongings found in rooms immediately.
• Notify housekeeping of roll-aways or cribs for pickup and storage.
• Handle pass keys and return them daily.
• Turn in all lost and found items to Housekeeping Manager or Front Desk promptly.
• Turn off lights, TVs, and A/C when leaving the room.
• Secure guestrooms by closing doors and windows after cleaning.
• Maintain grooming, hygiene, and safety per OH&S and company policies.
• Report any unusual or suspicious activity to the manager for welfare and safety.
• Assist with additional cleaning chores as assigned by supervisor or regional GM.
• Weekend availability is a MUST.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).
• Remove fingerprints and smudges (i.e. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.)
• Thoroughly clean the bathroom area—wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.
• Make sure that the brand standard room set-up is complied with.
• Report all damage found in a room immediately.
• Report all missing items in a room and any personal guest items found in vacant rooms immediately.
• Notify housekeeper of al roll-a-ways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.
• Responsible for pass key and ensuring it is turned in daily.
• Ensuring all “lost and found” items are turned in to Housekeeping Manager or Front Desk immediately.
• Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving room.
• Secures guestrooms, ensuring all doors and windows are closed when room clean is complete
• Ensures grooming, hygiene and safety compliance are maintained according to Occupational Health & Safety, company policy and procedures.
• Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager, therefore looking after the welfare and safety of both staff and guests.
• Assist with any additional cleaning chores that may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Regional General Manager.
• Weekend availability “ A MUST "

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used by guests visiting the workplace.

Mental Effort

• Mental effort required in multi-tasking and handling interruptions that require refocusing.
• Listening and mental attentiveness in tasks assigned by Housekeeping Manager.

Physical Effort

• Some heavy lifting required.
• Standing for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

• Use of cleaning chemicals

Type of Supervision Required

Reports to the Housekeeping Manager. Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
