Job summary

Cape Breton Job Board is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join a hospitality team in Port Hood, Nova Scotia. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, making beds, changing sheets, replenishing towels and toiletries, and maintaining linen inventories.

You will sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, clean bathrooms, report maintenance issues, and assist guests with requests. Subsidized accommodation may be available to qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and wash floors
• Dust furniture
• Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Clean and replenish coffee service and amenities
• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
• Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
• Clean, disinfect and polish bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Clean and disinfect public areas (lobby/reception/rest rooms)
• Report maintenance issues to management
• Report and store lost and found items
• Sort laundry and operate washing machines and dryers to clean and dry bed linens, towels and other articles
• Tread stained and heavily soiled articles as per property guidelines
• Store cleaned items in linen closet
• Maintain inventories of products, materials and amenities in stock

• Separate and fold laundered articles;
• Mix and add detergents;
