Job summary

Roofmart, Canada’s national distributor for exterior building supplies, is hiring eager individuals to join our warehouse team. This role involves safely loading bundles of shingles and other roofing products onto delivery vehicles and assisting with inventory movement.

You will work closely with drivers to ensure safe, on-time deliveries, perform general warehouse tasks such as shipping and receiving, keep areas clean, and follow health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
• Previous experience as General Laborer/Laborer - an asset
• Previous experience as Warehouse Associate, Construction Helper, Manual Laborer would be beneficial
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
• Required to perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping, and receiving, when not on deliveries
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required
