Job summary

Roofmart, Canada’s national distributor for exterior building supply, is seeking a warehouse/yard associate to safely load shingles, move inventory, and assist with shipping and receiving. You will work closely with drivers to ensure safe deliveries and help maintain organized work areas.

Assets include fall protection training and forklift certification. Strong customer service and physical stamina are essential for lifting 80–100 lbs repeatedly and performing varied duties in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training is an asset.
• Valid Forklift License is an asset (training can be provided).
• Ability to lift/push/carry 80-100lbs repeatedly.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products.
• Collaborate with driver to ensure safe, efficient delivery of product.
• Manually and with equipment handle material.
• Perform warehouse duties like moving inventory, shipping and receiving.
• Maintain clean, organized store and yard areas.
• Comply with health and safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
• Required to perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping, and receiving, when not on deliveries
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
• Previous experience as a General Laborer/Laborer - an asset
• Previous experience as Warehouse Associate, Construction Helper, Manual Laborer would be beneficial
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada
