Job summary

Staffinity in Toronto is seeking a General Manager - Commercial Renovations - Roofing for a permanent role leading the Roofing renovations department. You will oversee sales, product development, pricing, forecasting and strategies to grow revenue and margins while representing the professional image of the company.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of senior management experience and 5+ years working directly with a roofing company, plus strong budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• 7+ years of senior management experience in a roofing context.
• 5+ years of experience working directly with a roofing company.
• 5+ years of budgeting experience.
• 5+ years of sales growth experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sales, commercialization, product development, forecasting, market pricing, etc. of roofing products and service contracts.
• Planning and execution, gathering product and customer requirements and defining the product vision.
• Develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and maintain a professional image of the company.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through email, video/telephone calls, in-person meetings, and industry events.
• Manage the overall performance of the Roofing renovations Department.
• Ensure employees have tools, information, and knowledge to work effectively.
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Work with stakeholders to set regional volume goals and devise plans to meet them.
• Participate in annual Sales Budget preparation by setting targets for current and new business.
• Review financial information to identify opportunities to improve margins and develop pricing plans.
• Develop and maintain a pricing strategy and structure.
• Assess market competition to identify new product opportunities and enhance the product portfolio.
• Become the product knowledge expert for the product line and deliver training to the sales team.
• Ensure Sales Representatives have baseline knowledge of all products.
• Provide technical information and product knowledge to contractors and end users on all product lines.
• Understand and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and promote health and safety awareness.
