Job summary

Cosma International in Mississauga, part of Magna, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to administer and execute the preventative maintenance program for robotic welding equipment. You will perform safe and efficient repairs on Fanuc robots and welding equipment, and develop standardized resistance welding processes.

You will respond to corrective action reports, troubleshoot welding issues (resistance, MIG, drawn arc), maintain documentation, and support spare parts, schedules, and robot

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial certificate or equivalent education.
• 2-5 years related experience in maintenance or welding.
• Good command of English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Administer and execute the preventative maintenance program.
• Safe and efficient repair and maintenance of Fanuc robots and welding equipment.
• Develop and standardize Resistance Welding processes.
• Respond to Corrective Action Reports and implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot resistance, spot, projection, MIG and drawn arc welding issues.
• Maintain documentation and change records.
• Support spare parts lists and robot programming.
• Schedule maintenance with production to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies and Magna's charter.
