Your Contribution as a Robotics Engineer (Controls)

As a Robotics Engineer focused on Controls Programming, you will be a critical asset in the development of our robotics program. This includes making incremental changes to our current robot systems and developing entirely new systems for various applications.

A large part of KONNEXIO’s success is the pre-development of automation and robotics (sub-) systems for customer projects. As a Robotics Engineer, you will suggest the development of such building blocks, assess their benefits to our product lines, and develop solutions once approved and funded.

To optimize our work environment and stay current with technology, you will contribute to specifying, selecting, and implementing new systems, tools, and operating standards in our mechatronics and controls department.

Your Qualifications as a Robotics Engineer with a focus on Controls
  1. A Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
  2. A solid understanding of industrial automation and robotics.
  3. Experience in designing electrical and controls systems.
  4. Experience with Serial Communication, Multithreading, and GUI Developments.
  5. Programming proficiency in Python, C++, ROS, and Qt.
  6. Proven experience in object-oriented programming.
  7. Expertise in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting various communication protocols (i.e., RS-232, TTL, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
  8. Good knowledge of Computer Networking and Linux Environments.
  9. Experience with Vision Systems, object recognition, SLAM/LiDAR, location tracking & guidance.
  10. Experience with data logging, compiling, and evaluating (OEE).
  11. Experience designing, configuring, and programming drive systems (servo, steppers, etc.).
  12. PLC Ladder Logic and HMI programming experience.
  13. Experience with AutoCAD and electrical design software.
  14. Hands-on knowledge of assisting with wiring and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  15. A positive and growth-minded attitude towards your work, projects, and all stakeholders.
