Job summary

Toronto Danforth is seeking an energetic Robotics & Coding Instructor to teach after-school and weekend classes, support school workshops, camps, and guide students through hands-on STEM learning.

You will deliver curriculum using LEGO Robotics, Scratch, Python, Java, C#, and other beginner-friendly languages, creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere. Join a dynamic team and inspire youths to explore, build, and problem-solve.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or mentoring youth.
• Strong communication and classroom management.
• Familiarity with robotics platforms VEX V5/LEGO.
• Knowledge of Scratch, Python, Java, C#.
• Ability to inspire and lead students.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Teach robotics and coding to students from grades 1 to 12.
• Deliver curriculum using LEGO Robotics, Scratch, Python, Java, C#, and other beginner‑friendly languages.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with problem‑solving, debugging, and hands‑on building.
• Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Lead STEM activities during PA Day, March Break, and summer camps.
• Participate in school workshops when scheduled.
