Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Coding Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will inspire and guide students through the exciting world of programming, fostering their problem-solving skills and igniting their passion for technology. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while balancing other commitments. Your energy and expertise will help create an engaging learning environment where students can thrive and develop essential coding skills.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive coding lessons tailored to diverse student skill levels
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and coding exercises that align with curriculum goals
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance
  • Provide personalized feedback to students to support their growth and understanding of programming concepts
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all participants
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve course content and delivery methods
Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree with prior experience.
Experience
  • Prior classroom experience in teaching or tutoring coding or related technical subjects
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Web development - HTML/CSS styling, and Scratch
  • Passion for education and empowering learners through technology
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Ability to motivate students and foster a supportive learning environment
  • Nice-to-have: Experience working with diverse age groups or in informal educational settings
Schedule
  • Tuesday: 4:30 PM – 6:40 PM
  • Thursday: 4:30 PM – 6:40 PM
  • Saturday: 10:30 AM - 12:40 PM

Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening completed within the last six months before employment.
