Job summary

Edmonton Public Library is searching for a proactive Road Warrior (Mobile Circulation Assistant) to support branches across the city. You will join a team of floating staff, covering vacancies on short notice with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

The Road Warrior program dispatches staff to different branches within a quadrant, starting from a home branch. We value customer service, tech-savviness, and the ability to help patrons access library resources and services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in library or customer-service setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based services.

Responsibilities

• Open new memberships, resolve questions and complete circulation duties.
• Handle library materials and support branch operations.
• Orient new and returning EPL members to EPL services and membership.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons with technology and resources.
