Job summary

Serco Canada Inc. is seeking Driver Examiners to support Ministry of Transportation operations across Ontario DriveTest Centres. The role conducts road tests, observes driving habits, records results, and provides licensing information to applicants.

Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, bilingual English-French fluency, and a valid Ontario driver’s licence with minimal demerit points. Starting hourly rate is $28.25. Hybrid/onsite expectations vary by centre.

Qualifications

GED or high school diploma as a minimum.
Fluency in English and French.
Must have at least four years driving experience, verified by date first licensed on Ontario licence.
Must hold a valid Class M and/or controlled class driver’s licence, if applicable.
No more than four demerit points and three violations at all times during employment as a Driver Examiner.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service during the delivery of all Driver Examination Services.
Responds to enquiries related to driver licensing and test procedures.
Verifies candidate identity by full name and date of birth.
Examine applicants through road tests to assess driving abilities and compliance with laws.
Provides examination results and notes areas for improvement.
Completes evaluation forms for road test assessments.
Attends travel points to provide testing and licensing services where applicable.
Observes and assesses riding habits for M2, M, and controlled class tests.
