Job summary

CIMA+’s Transportation team in Ontario offers an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Road Safety Technologist to support a growing practice. You’ll engage in Vision Zero planning, data collection, network screening, road and railway safety reviews, and stakeholder consultation across diverse projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Road Safety.
  • Transportation Engineering Technology diploma.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, MUTCDC, HCM, HTA.
  • Proficient with traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
  • Valid Driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented with a strong desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior technical staff to develop high-quality and technically accurate end products.
  • Conduct site visits, field observations and field measurements.
  • Conduct data collection and processing in support of road safety initiatives.
  • Communicate with Clients and other team members.
  • Undertake research and literature reviews in concurrence with various projects.
  • Conduct statistical analysis in support of road safety modelling.
  • Conduct public and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare Technical Reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
