Job summary

CIMA+’s Transportation team seeks an Intermediate Road Safety Technologist to support Ontario projects, including Vision Zero planning, data collection, and safety reviews. You will work with senior professionals on a wide range of transportation assignments that span planning, design and public engagement, with ongoing training to upgrade skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Road Safety.
• Transportation Engineering Technology diploma.
• CET designation is an asset.
• Knowledge of OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, MUTCDC, HCM, HTA.
• Proficient with traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with client service focus.
• Proficient technical writer for road safety observations and recommendations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Integrity, team spirit, commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, technically accurate end products with senior staff.
• Conduct site visits, field observations and measurements.
• Collect and process data for road safety initiatives.
• Communicate with clients and team members.
• Undertake literature reviews and research as needed.
• Support road safety modelling with statistics.
• Engage in public and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Other duties as assigned.
