Job summary

Purolator, a leading Canadian logistics company, seeks a Utility Courier in Winnipeg to pick up and deliver packages daily, while addressing issues on the road and coordinating with Dispatch.

Working hours up to 40 hours with shifting schedules; temporary contract; hourly wage 21.84 CAD under the collective agreement.

Requires High School completion, valid Class 5 driver's license, and proficiency in English; opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to reliable service.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School.
• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in English for frequent communications with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).
• When inspections fail, the Courier advises the unit manager.
