Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia is seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to support MHSU programs and services. You will work with an interprofessional care team to assess, plan, administer medications and coordinate care for clients with substance use issues.

The role emphasizes person-centered, recovery-oriented care, crisis intervention and health promotion. You will document care, participate in rounds and meetings, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

Formación

• Graduation from an approved Nursing Program with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Completion of approved addictions or substance use training, or substance use certificate program, and one year's recent related experience working in an addictions environment with individuals with substance use disorders.
• May require: current approved Standard First Aid Certificate and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) level C.
• May require: skills and experience in facilitating psycho-educational groups.
• May require: Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
• May require: eligible for completion of BC Provincial Opiate Addiction Treatment Support Program course and approved related preceptorship.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care and develop care plans for clients.
• Administer medications and monitor effects.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR as needed.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team in client care conferences and rounds.
• Provide crisis counselling and health promotion activities.
• Maintain clinical records and documentation.
• Plan and deliver education to clients and families.
• Mentor and precept nursing staff and students.
