Job summary

The City of Red Deer seeks a seasoned Section Manager of Risk Services to lead enterprise risk, procurement governance, insurance and business continuity. You will guide policy, embed risk-informed planning, and mentor a multidisciplinary team across departments.

Reporting to Corporate Risk Management, this role shapes governance practices and strengthens organizational resilience in a dynamic municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Professional designation (CRM, CIP, CPPB/CPPO, PMP, CPA) is a strong asset.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in risk management or related public-sector functions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex initiatives.
• Extensive knowledge of procurement governance, contract law, insurance and ERM.
