British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) invites applications for the Winter 2027 Investment Risk Analytics Solutions Co-op/Internship in Victoria, BC. The role focuses on developing Python-based analytics tools and AI-powered solutions to enhance concentration risk analysis and reporting.

You will build automated data pipelines, create dashboards, and collaborate with the Risk Analytics Solutions team to implement innovative AI approaches.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a quantitative field (CS/SE/DS/Math/Quant Finance).
• Strong Python programming with data analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction.
• Ability to build analytics tools, dashboards, or automations from scratch.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and NLP/chatbot development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based analytics tools and AI for concentration risk.
• Build and maintain concentration risk chatbot using NLP/ML.
• Create automated data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Design interactive dashboards for risk monitoring.
• Collaborate to enhance existing risk analytics platforms.
• Develop APIs and integrate AI with risk systems.
• Assist in testing, debugging, and optimizing applications.
