Job summary

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) in Victoria is seeking an Investment Services co-op/intern for Winter and Summer 2027 (January to August) to support Investment Operations projects related to corporate and asset class initiatives.

You will learn and apply your knowledge to prepare department analytics and contribute to continuous improvement under the Senior Analyst, Investment Services, in collaboration with the team and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual knowledge of trade workflows in an investment management firm with a focus on illiquid asset classes.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing workflows/workbooks used in daily operations.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with team members in Investment Operations and other departments.
• Develop knowledge of internal systems within the department and BCI.
• Assist in managing ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the team.
