Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Risk Analyst-Airport to support the development of an advanced and sustainable airport project in Mississauga. This on-site role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks across cost, schedule, safety, and operations.

You'll lead risk workshops, coordinate with multi‑discipline teams, and apply quantitative risk analysis techniques to inform investment decisions and milestone reviews. On-site 5 days/week.

Qualifications

  • University degree in PM, engineering, or related field.
  • Min 4 years of risk management in large construction projects.
  • Experience identifying risks, mitigation, and building strategies.
  • Ability to review others' work and resolve issues.

Job Description

The role of Risk Analyst-Airport is based on‑site in Mississauga. This newly created position supports the development of one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable airports.

Major Responsibilities
  • Manage all risks‑related issues and insurance activities of the organization.
  • Handle financial, reporting, IT security, safety, health, environment, employee security, and preliminary risk assessments for proposals, pursuits, and project execution.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to perform moderately complex tasks within the scope of the position.
  • Review work of other employees and resolve issues independently or with managerial assistance.
  • Advise and participate in the planning, development of strategy and policy related to discipline.
  • Work under limited supervision or general direction.
  • Carry out special projects and provide reporting with limited supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • University degree in project management, PMP certification, quantity surveying, or engineering.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in the development and implementation of risk‑management practices, risk identification, mitigation, and strategies on large construction projects/programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Typically 6–8 years of professional experience in risk‑management on large construction projects/programs.
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and coordinating large stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) techniques and tools.
  • Experience using Enterprise Risk Management tools such as Active Risk Manager (ARM).
  • Delivery of risk‑management activities within a program/project lifecycle, including support of investment decisions and milestone‑based assurance reviews.
  • Understanding of interfaces between risk management and other program/project management areas such as cost, schedule, change, quality, reporting, and commercial management.
  • Knowledge of traditional and alternative contracting strategies and associated risks.
  • Experience in the engineering, procurement, and construction advisory environment, especially for public infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
  • Collaborative working style, able to influence and engage stakeholders in managing risks.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple consulting engagements.
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., AACE, PMI) considered an asset.
Additional Information

The role requires on‑site work 5 days a week.

Compensation

Annual salary range: CAD 81,702.24 – 131,702.24.
