Job summary

Northern Strands Group of Companies is seeking a Recertification Technician in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to recertify and refurbish mining and construction tools, power tools, and equipment. The role reports to the Saskatoon location and requires overall safety-conscious workmanship.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with pay starting at $20.00 per hour. Pre-employment drug testing is a condition of employment and ownership of mechanical and painting skills is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 education.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Mechanical skills and painting skills are assets.
• Safety training certificates are assets.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed visual inspections of equipment and attachments to identify wear, damage, or defects, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Recertify and refurbish mining and construction tools, power tools, and equipment to meet standards.
• Perform pull testing on attachments, slings, rigging hardware, and more.
• Utilize handheld tools and power tools to clean and refurbish attachments.
• Complete painting on fabricated items and attachments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Monitor and replenish stock and supplies, as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Certified Sales & Rentals is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Recertification Technician, whose primary responsibilities are recertifying and refurbishing mining and construction tools, power tools, and equipment. To better describe the nature of the work, this position is advertised as a Rigging & Equipment Inspection Technician. Internally, however, the role is classified as a Recertification Technician.

Position reports to: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 7:30a.m.-4:00p.m.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
