Job summary

Northern Strands is seeking a detail-driven Rigger/Warehouse Labourer to join our Regina, SK team. The role focuses on building wire rope slings, rigging assemblies, and spooling rope for customer orders. You will stock gear, prepare shipments, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualified candidates bring Grade 12 or equivalent and ideally two years in manufacturing. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift heavy loads are required to support operations and warehousing tasks at our

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years work experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with building wire rope slings and assemblies.
• Perform or assist with building or filling chain orders.
• Perform or assist with reeling rope for customer orders.
• Perform or assist with restocking wire rope on racking and pallet racks.
• Prepare and pack goods to be shipped.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing lists or other documents; record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
• Operate a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift or other equipment as necessary.
• Pick items to fill customer requests from Order Desk.
• Assist with regular inventory cycle counts.
• Perform general facilities cleaning and maintenance.
• Interact courteously with customers, vendors and co-workers, displaying professional conduct.

Northern Strands is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Rigger/Warehouse (Manufacturing) Labourer, whose primary responsibilities are building wire rope slings and rigging assemblies, building chain rigging assemblies, and spooling rope. Work Location

This position requires employees to work from the Regina, SK office/shop 100% of the time during scheduled work hours. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

What You Bring To The Table

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years work experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong time-management skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle heavy loads as required
• Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
• Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., Forklift, First Aid/CPR)
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time permanent basis
