Job summary

Skyworks is seeking a motivated Test Engineering Co-op student for a full-time, in-office 12‑month term in Ottawa (January–December 2027). You will support automated test solutions for RF and wireless semiconductor products, working with Test, Product, Systems, and Applications Engineering teams on NPI activities and manufacturing test solutions.

The role involves developing and debugging ATE programs, executing RF tests, data analysis, and reporting to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Strong electronics fundamentals and basic RF concepts.
• Familiarity with Python, C#, C++, or LabVIEW.
• Basic understanding of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Working knowledge of AI for Test Automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs and hardware.
• Support test development activities for RF products using COhu Red Dragon, Advantest and NI platforms.
• Execute characterization and validation testing to ensure product specifications.
• Analyze test data and generate reports to identify trends and improve coverage.
• Assist with multisite test development and efficiency improvements.
• Support NPI transfers from engineering development to manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot test issues with engineering teams and implement corrective actions.
• Develop automation tools and scripts to enhance productivity and data analysis.
• Maintain test documentation, procedures, and records.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
